Sexting Laws in Wisconsin:
In Wisconsin, any person caught sexting sexual explicit images is charged under the state’s child pornography laws.
Under these laws, it is a crime to produce, possess and/ or distribute any type of media containing minors engaging in sexual activity. If caught, the individual charged with a felony and if convicted, the individual shall face up to $25,000 in fine, up to 12 years in prison and must register as a sex offender.
There is no exemption for minors sexting sexual explicit images with other minors.
