Sexting Laws in Kentucky:
Recognizing the sexting problem among teens, in 2010, Kentucky lawmakers proposed a bill to lessen punishments for minors caught sexting sexual images.
The bill failed, so any person regardless of age caught sending or receiving images containing minors engaging in sexual activity is charged under the state’s child pornography laws.
The individual is charged with a felony and if convicted, the individual will face fines, jail time and be required to register as a sex offender.
Punishments:
- A Felony.
- From 5 to 20 years in prison.
- Registration as a sex offender.
