Sexting Laws in Kansas:
Under the current Kansas laws, any person regardless of age produces, distributes, or possesses images, videos or any other medias containing minors engaging in sexual activity is charged under the state’s child pornography laws.
If convicted, the individual can face jail time, fines and be registered as a sex offender.
Exemption is not available for minors who share sexual images with other minors. As a result, any minor caught sexting images with other minors is charged with a felony and if convicted, will face prison time and is required to register as a sex offender.
