Sexting Laws in Idaho:
Idaho does not yet have laws specifically for sexting. Any minor found sharing images containing sexual activity with other minors are charged under the state’s child pornography laws.
The state’s child pornography laws apply when a person produces/distributes/possesses images, videos or any other medias containing minors engaging in sexual activity.
If convicted, the minor will face prison time and must register as a sex offender.
Punishments:
- A felony.
- Up to 10 years in prison for possessing.
- Up to 30 years in prison for producing and/or distributing.
- Registration as a sex offender.
