Sexting Laws in Alabama
Under the current Alabama sexting laws, persons found producing, possessing or distributing images of minors engaging in sexual activity will face felony charges under the Alabama child pornography laws. If convicted, persons will be registered as a sex offender.
Exemptions do not exist yet for minors who trade sexting pics with each other.
Punishments:
- Up to 20 years in prison.
- Up to $30,000 in fines.
- Be registered as a sex offender.

- Production of child pornography
- Possession of child pornography
- Distribution of child pornography
