If you are under 18 and you sext pictures, please stop and try your best to have your pictures removed as soon as possible. What are the consequences when you only sext to your boyfriend/girlfriend? You think it is completely safe?

You are still young, you shall probably go through several more relationships before you settle down. What can go wrong when you break up? Your ex will openly forward your pics to the public. It has happened and will happen. See some real life cases here.

What can happen to your education? Your classmates will bully you, you will be afraid to go to school resulting in poor performance and bad grades. Colleges may not accept you. You may not receive job offers and many, many more.

Sexting pics can deliberately take away some of the privileges that you would have with your parents and how they trust you with having a cell phone. Not only it is illegal, but it is a way for other people to see a side of you that was meant for someone special. You would really have to trust someone to send any kind of photo to them being that it could easily be posted online for the world to see. Keeping that side of you private and for someone special is going to keep your reputation safe as well as the way that you feel about yourself at school or towards your family.

Even if you are an adult, and you are sexting pics you are still setting yourself up for disaster and for a case of blackmail. It’s dangerous being that with blackmail someone else would have complete and totally control over you. Sexting pics are only going to demean the respect that you have for yourself and your body. Doing these types of things to attract someone to you or flirt with you is the wrong way of doing things. You can innocently flirt without having such harsh punishments.

In conclusion, teens, don’t let that happen to you and don’t let it ruin your future. Your future is sacred, and it is in your hands. The small decisions that you make are going to determine your future and how fast you get where you want to go. You can flirt but without having to show your body. That’s not the right way to get somebody to like you or want to date you.
